Welcome to Monterey Baptist!

Our eternal hope, our destiny is to be like Jesus.  Herein is our Journey as followers of  Christ. Jesus provided clarity to our pathway when He said, "I am the way...no one can come to the Father except through Me".  During His own earthly journey, the Lord established our guiding principles to love and obey by demonstration and proclamation.  Truly, His will and desire for us is great!

The Great Commandment.  Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.  All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments”.   (Matthew 22:37-40).

The Great Commission.  Jesus instructed us to  "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."  (Matthew 28:19)

The corporate ministries of  Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship and Evangelism are set as markers of our progress along this Christian Journey.   We best demonstrate our love to Christ and one another through our commitment to: Walk Joyfully Together in Ministry, Honor Him in Worship and Praise, Mature in Christ-likeness through Discipleship, Identify with one another through Fellowship, and Multiply Through Evangelism.

Biblical leadership is servant leadership as perfectly embodied by Christ.  Pastors are the servants God holds accountable for equipping the saints for ministry.  I am humbled and honored to serve Monterey Baptist Church and our community.  I truly covet your prayers.

May God continue to bless you as we Journey together, "Sharing Christ's Kingdom by connecting, growing, serving intentionally".
